What are the goals for Stroke?

Strength & Mobility

This goal aims at improving the functional independence and range of motions. Also, it helps in strengthening muscles for movements in order to prevent and reduce falls. It does so through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and yoga techniques.

Dexterity

The goal aims at helping stroke patients with ADL. There are tasks which require assistance like wearing a shirt, brushing teeth, etc. Through occupational therapy, hand function, and fine and gross motor skills can be improved.

Oro-facial

The goal aims at strengthening the chewing muscles among stroke patients through therapy. It also assists in helping improve facial movements and expressions through facial exercises.
